Wood is a precious and finite commodity, and while this material receives the utmost respect in the pieces I build, I want this business to do a little good in the world. Because of this, BCW is dedicated to giving back.

I strive for this in two ways…

Avoid the landfill

Every piece is made to last. If for any reason the piece is no longer functional, it will be repaired free of charge — forever.

Donate 1% of All Sales

At the end of every year, 1% of all sales will be donated to a charitable organization that gives back to the planet.

  • Trees for the Future is a nonprofit organization that aims to end hunger, end poverty, and improve the environment. They work with communities in Africa and train farmers to regenerate their land by planting trees and growing crops using a technique called the Forest Garden Approach.

  • The Rainforest Alliance is creating a more sustainable world by using social and market forces to protect nature and improve the lives of farmers and forest communities
